Sama Karim Design Studios is an international architectural and spatial design practice working across city-making, architecture, interiors, and collectible design.
Our work spans urban masterplans, waterfront developments, cultural venues, high-rise towers, bespoke residences, and sculptural furniture, forming a continuous design language across scales. We collaborate with developers, private clients, cultural institutions, luxury brands, and governmental organizations, shaping spaces that are refined, experiential, and enduring. What defines our practice is not a singular style but clarity of intention, precision of form, and a commitment to spatial identity that is both timeless and context-aware.
About Sama Karim
Sama Karim is a designer whose trajectory crosses cultures, disciplines, and global design contexts. Her work moves across architecture, interiors, experience design, and emerging digital environments, shaped by a multidisciplinary perspective grounded in spatial intelligence, visual sensitivity, and conceptual clarity.
Her academic and professional journey spans Canada, and London. She studied at the Architectural Association in London, where her work in the Design Research Laboratory expanded her engagement with experimental design, computational thinking, and future-facing spatial systems. Alongside her architectural path, her studies in fashion at University of the Arts London further sharpened her understanding of composition, material expression, identity, and the relationship between form and perception. These parallel influences continue to shape a practice that moves fluidly between space, image, atmosphere, and narrative.
Her professional experience includes work in both Canada and the UK, including Zaha Hadid Architects in London, where she contributed to internationally recognized projects and further refined her approach to form, atmosphere, and large-scale design narratives. Today, she leads Sama Karim Design Studios as a multidisciplinary platform working across architecture, interior environments, immersive worlds, user experience design, education, collectible design, and AI-enhanced visualization. Her work is driven by a belief that design should not only shape space, but also shape perception, emotion, and meaning.
