DESIGN SHAPES HOW WE EXPERIENCE THE WORLD.

Public waterfront terraces connecting city to shoreline
Marina Convention Centre
Convention + Event Centre
Location: Lusail Waterfront, Doha, Qatar
The Marina Convention Centre is planned as a public-facing cultural and event hub positioned along the Lusail waterfront. Designed to host conferences, exhibitions, performances, and civic gatherings, the centre operates as a flexible platform for international exchange.
The building steps gradually toward the water, creating terraced public walkways that remain open throughout the day. Landscaped outdoor platforms, shade corridors, and pedestrian promenades allow visitors to move fluidly between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Inside, large-span event halls, adaptable meeting rooms, and open gallery floors accommodate programming ranging from global summits to design fairs and cultural showcases. Clear circulation, visibility, and daylight shape an environment that supports both formal and informal gathering.
Rather than presenting a monumental object, the architecture is low, continuous, and public in character — forming a civic landscape where the waterfront becomes part of the experience.
