A sculptural facade shaping identity, movement, and urban presence.

The Wavecrest

Mixed-Use Building

Location: Downtown Toronto

This mixed-use building is conceived as a sculptural landmark within the urban core, defined by a series of vertical, fluid fins that rise from the ground in a graceful wave-like rhythm. Made of light-toned composite materials edged in warm gold, these dynamic ribbons twist upward to form a visually striking façade that evokes movement, elegance, and craftsmanship.

At street level, the central glass entry is framed by the curving structure, with gold signage and abstract sculptural installations lending a cultural, gallery-like presence to the retail storefront. The façade is more than aesthetic — it provides shade, reinforces brand identity, and creates a memorable urban gesture.

Above, the building transitions into contemporary office levels and is crowned by a lush green roof, designed to promote sustainability, manage stormwater, and reduce heat absorption. This planted roofscape not only enhances environmental performance but also contributes a soft, natural contrast to the building’s sculptural form — blending architecture, ecology, and urban design into a cohesive whole.
